Ed.D. MBA, SPHR, MBA/HRModerator, The Liautaud Institute

Sarah Smith

Sarah is a PhD Candidate in the Business Psychology Department: Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her dissertation is based on The Liautaud Institute's refined and verified assessment for Emotional Intelligence (EI). She will be examining how social competencies may be related to Employee Engagement.

 

Sarah is an Associate Professor of Human Resources for Purdue University's North Central campus. Director of their Center for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), she is interested in how building EI skills can enhance organizational safety and health. Sarah has earned the most outstanding professor award from her College of Business. As well, she was named Top Recruiter in the Nation for a Dart/Kraft organization while in direct sales. 

 

As a consultant she has provided leadership training and development for a wide range of clients. These include industry, health care, education, municipalities, professional associations, and social service organizations.  Sarah is dedicated to The Liautaud Institute's programs because she has experienced how SEMCO and practicing the habits has produced positive results in members of her teams, and in her own personal life.
