HISTORY: The history of group dynamics (or group processes) has a consistent, underlying premise: 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.' A social group is an entity, which has qualities that cannot be understood just by studying the individuals that make up the group. The properties are determined by the intrinsic structural laws that govern the dynamics of groups. The Liautaud Institute was formed to research group dynamics, using engineering-based, industrial research methods, combined with the academic measures of theoretical research. The Studies conducted are classified as 'use-inspired' research. The content of these studies comes from past research previously funded and sourced from our own and other Universities.

USE-INSPIRED RESEARCH: The Institute applies new applications of past research, to group studies that measure its contributive value to the user.

FUNDING: The Institute is financed from Corporate, Institutional, and Foundation Grants, and supported by the multiple companies, institutions and health care facilities that volunteered to participate in our research.
